Bridgeway Recovery Services is currently seeking a qualified 
Substance Abuse Counselor 
to join our woman's residential program treatment team!

Position Purpose:

Our substance abuse counselor in our woman's residential program is responsible for providing alcohol and drug treatment to help clients gain coping skills and identification of behaviors in an effort to obtain a clean and sober lifestyle. The counselor will build an alliance with our clients by providing education and motivation to support them in making positive changes in their lives. Must be adaptable to an ever-changing environment, and be able to provide structure, as well as maintain clear clinical boundaries in a residential setting.


Requires an Associate's Degree or higher in Human Services or related field from an accredited college or university.  
Requires a CADC I designation or higher
Requires at least three years (five years preferred) of addictions counseling experience  
In addition, work experience with women's populations is preferred.
Prefer a bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field, and/or a QMHA designation.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong computer and time management skills required to work effectively.  
Advanced understanding of ASAM PPC-2R and DSM-V required. 
Intermediate understanding of Oregon Administrative Rules required.
Must have the ability to work flexible hours for group facilitation. 
Qualified candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check.

 Will vary, depending on experience and credentials. 
 An additional stipend is available for employees who are Spanish/English bi-lingual fluent. 
 Differential pay is also available for night shift workers

A sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 available for the successful candidate.
